Registered Dietitian (Virtual, Part-Time, Ontario-Based)

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Wed., July 23rd, 2025

About Equilibrium Psychotherapy:
Equilibrium Psychotherapy is a values-driven, solo psychotherapy practice with plans to expand into a collaborative team. I provide trauma-informed, weight-inclusive care to individuals navigating eating disorders, body image concerns, trauma, and life transitions. My work is rooted in anti-oppressive practice, and I’m passionate about supporting healing relationships with food, movement, and body.

I’m currently looking to welcome a like-minded Registered Dietitian to join me in supporting clients through holistic, inclusive care. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing practice where your voice, values, and expertise are deeply respected.

Role Overview:

You’ll provide one-on-one nutrition counselling for individuals working on disordered eating recovery, body image healing, and food relationship concerns. You’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, work virtually and/or in person, and engage in optional collaboration with me as part of a client’s care team.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Providing individual nutrition counselling grounded in trauma-informed, HAES®, and anti-diet approaches

  • Collaborating (with consent) on shared client care, especially in eating disorder recovery

  • Creating individualized nutrition care plans that support autonomy and healing

  • Maintaining timely, ethical documentation in line with professional standards

What We're Looking For:

  • Are a Registered Dietitian in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario

  • Have a registered business or are in the process of registering your business

  • Have experience or interest in working with eating disorders, chronic dieting, and body image

  • Align with Intuitive Eating, Health at Every Size®, and anti-oppressive care

  • Have professional liability insurance

  • Work well independently but value connection and collaboration

Nice to Have (but Not Required):

  • Experience and confidence managing billing, charting, and booking through online platforms, especially Jane App

  • Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor designation

  • Experience in perinatal care and body image work

  • Experience in medical nutrition therapy (e.g., GI conditions, diabetes, PCOS) from a weight-inclusive lens

  • Previous experience in private practice

  • Training in trauma-informed care, somatic nutrition, or related modalities

  • Experience supporting neurodivergent clients, 2SLGBTQIA+ folks, or those with marginalized body identities

What I Offer:

  • Flexible scheduling with autonomy to build your caseload

  • Referrals based on your areas of interest and expertise

  • Admin support for incoming referrals through the established website and network

  • Access to Jane App platform for booking, EHR, billing, and secure video appointments

  • A warm, supportive working relationship rooted in mutual respect
Potential for hybrid work environment with access to office space (if in-person care is desired)

  • Potential to consult and provide a collaborative approach to mutual clients

  • A chance to co-create and grow with the practice as it evolves

Compensation:
Percentage-based split (competitive and reflective of experience)

How to Apply:

Please send your resume and a short letter of interest (highlighting your approach, values, and availability) to shauna@equilibriumpsych.com.

As part of your application, I'd love to get to know you a bit more personally.

Please include a short video (2–3 minutes) introducing yourself and sharing:

  • Why you're interested in joining Equilibrium Psychotherapy

  • How your approach aligns with intuitive eating and weight-inclusive care

This doesn’t need to be highly produced — a simple phone or laptop recording is perfect. We’re more interested in getting a sense of your values, style, and interest in the role. I especially welcome applications from individuals with lived experience and those from underrepresented or marginalized communities.
